Brad Jones is a cornerback for the Cincinnati Bearcats. He redshirted in 2005, and then saw limited action in 2006 and 2007. That certainly wasn’t from lack of talent, the Bearcats had a defensive back selected in the last three NFL drafts, including three last April.
Jones started to see a lot more action in 2008 intercepting Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford of Oklahoma and also having a big pick in the Akron game. Jones played safety and cornerback totaling 21 tackles and helping the Bearcats reach the Orange Bowl.
He then started all 12 games this season, one of 10 new defensive starters playing for a new defensive coordinator. He had a great year making 48 total tackles including 3 1/2 for losses and helped the Bearcats go 12-0 and earn a trip to the Sugar Bowl. Jones work ethic, leadership and determination will make a great addition to any NFL Defense.
