Cullen Harper is a quarterback who is currently a free agent. Harper starred for the Missouri Tigers where he threw for 5762 yards and 41 Touchdowns over his junior and senior year. Coming out of Clemson, many NFL Draft analysts projected him as one of the Top 3 quarterbacks available.
Harper red- shirted his first season and then sat on the bench for two more before getting a chance to start his junior year. At 6-3, 220 lbs, Harper has the prototypical NFL frame. Add to the fact that he is an intelligent and highly competitive player and you have the type of intangibles that are hard to ignore. Yet for a quarterback, intangibles are nothing without an arm and the right poise for the position, both attributes that Harper possesses.
Harper’s junior year for the Tigers was simply masterful. He lit up the ACC throwing for 2991 yards, completing 65% of his passes and reaching the endzone 27 times and in the process setting 22 Clemson Tigers records. For this effort, Harper was tabbed Preseason ACC Player of the Year.
