Dedrick Epps is a tight end who currently plays for the San Diego Chargers. He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes. He was picked by the San Diego Chargers in the 2010 NFL Draft and was one of the best tight ends in the draft class.
With his size and strength (6 ‘3, 250 pounds), he should be able to contribute immediately on special teams and goal-line packages. Epps has soft, strong hands and shows good ball skills and high-points the football. He is a fluid athlete who possesses the body control to make difficult catches in traffic and does not shy away from contact when blocking. Jacoby Harris threw for 386 yards – including a 40-yard pass over double coverage to Travis Benjamin that set up Graig Cooper’s 3-yard touchdown run with 1:53 left and led the Hurricanes past No. 18 ranked Florida State 38-34 in a wild, back and forth game.
