Gus Mustakas, Defensive Lineman for Pittsburgh Panthers was selected Second Team All-BIG EAST Conference for the 2009 college football season as voted on by the BIG EAST head coaches. Mustakas was a vital performer on Pitt's defensive front, compiling 36 tackles; nine TFLs, 4.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries in 2009. The versatile and consistent Mustakas played both tackle spots and has excellent interior instincts. He showed tremendous leadership on a team that flexed one of the best defensive lines in college football.

Gus Mustakas Game Worn White and Black Nike Cleats (Worn against Notre Dame)
Mustakas wore the following cleats against Notre Dame on November 14th, 2009. The Panthers beat the Irish 27-22 and improved to 9-1 for the first time since 1982, Dan Marino’s senior season. The game ball went to Mustakas and the Panther’s defense that held Notre Dame’s high powered offense to just three points in the 1st half and forced two turnovers. They also stopped Clausen with two minutes left in the fourth quarter and the game on the line. The win set up a showdown between the Panthers and No. 5 Cincinnati Bearcats that would decide the Big East Conference Champions and BCS bowl representative.
The cleats show great use and have been signed by Mustakas who has added “Game Worn against Notre Dame.”

Gus Mustakas Game Worn Pittsburgh Panthers Sun Bowl Jersey (Worn in 2008 against Oregon State Beavers)
Mustakas wore the following jersey against the No. 24 ranked Oregon State Beavers in the 2008 Sun Bowl. The game was a defensive battle which included 20 punts and nine sacks. Justin Kahut kicked a 44-yard field goal late in the first half and the Beavers beat No. 18 Pittsburgh 3-0. Pitt kicker Connor Lee tried a 58-yard field goal in the closing minutes but the ball, helped by a steady wind, dropped short of the crossbar. It was the lowest-scoring Sun Bowl since a scoreless tie in 1940 between Catholic and Arizona State.
The jersey shows good use and has the Brut Sun Bowl Patch on left shoulder. Year and Size tag is present in back yoke. (08-44) The Adidas size tag is on left front tail with +2 Length tag and wash tag inside the left seam. Mustakas has signed the jersey on back number nine in black sharpie “Gus Mustakas Game Worn”.
