Kevin Haslam is one player who sometimes gets lost in the shuffle, playing on a stellar Rutgers University offensive line. According to coaches, the New Jersey product has been praised as an under shadowed leader and has experience playing both guard and tackle; he shifted to right tackle midway through his junior season.
Haslam is the complete package. He has great pass blocking skills with a strong punch and will often extend his arms to knock the defensive end off his move. He also sets quickly and takes a good angle on his kick slide and mirrors his man well. Haslam is also really effective against the run. Once into his man, will anchor and keep feet moving to sustain the block. He’s usually able to push his man back a couple of yards off the line of scrimmage when drive blocking. He’s also efficient in coming off his down-block to reach another defender. Mr Versatility” also has very good natural strength and looked sharp in the East-West Shrine game.
With the recent influx of Rutgers offensive lineman heading to the NFL (Darnell Stapleton, Pedro Sosa, Jeremy Zuttah) Haslam is projected to be selected in the 3rd-4th round in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Kevin Haslam Game Worn East-West Shrine Game Nike Cleats
The East-West Shrine Game is the oldest and one of the most respected of the post-season collegiate bowl games. Since 1925, the game has been known for the quality of the players and coaches, as well as for the excitement of great college football action.
But that's not what makes the game "Football's Finest Hour." What makes the East-West Game so special is its true purpose — helping to support Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Every year since 1925, the East-West Game has been played to raise funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children and to raise awareness about the expert orthopaedic, burn, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and cleft lip and palate care, available at no charge to patients and families, through the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children.
The players themselves regard the game in a special light, as they learn the true purpose of the game during a pre-game visit to the Shriners Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
Kevin Haslam had the great opportunity to be selected to participate in this prestigious game. Haslam wore the featured Black and White Nike cleats for the East Team who won 13-10 in exciting fashion with a Touchdown with 6 seconds left. The cleats show good use and have both been signed by Haslam. He has added “Worn in All-Star Game to the right cleat.” Awesome cleats by the future NFL star!
