Mickey Dean is a running back for the Sioux Falls Storm of the Indoor Football League. Dean was a four-year starter for the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions and was the Southwestern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year in 2005. In his Freshman year, Dean set a freshman single game record with 237 yards on the ground and four TD’s against rival Jackson State. Dean is a tackle-breaker who fights for every yard and was nicknamed “Mickey Dean the Touchdown Machine.” In 2009, Dean was named to 2009 Preseason All-SWAC First Team after running for 632 yards and 5 touchdowns.

UAPB scored 28 points in a span of 2:14 before 26,211 fans at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. Dean, nicknamed by his coach “The Touchdown Machine” was the star of the game rushing for 81 yards with 2 touchdowns and also throwing an 18-yard touchdown pass to Raymond Webber. Five years before Dean had stood on that same field and from his running back position, threw a touchdown pass that helped Little Rock Central beat West Memphis for a state championship.
