Ryan D'Imperio, at 6-1 3/8 and 241 pounds, fits the ideal linebacker frame for the NFL. As a junior, D’Imperio finished second on the team with 93 tackles. This past season, he finished with 73 on a defense that created more takeaways than all but four teams in college football. All of those teams played one more game than the Scarlet Knights. On September 21st against Florida International, D’Imperio led the way with 8 tackles, 1 sack, 2 quarterback hurries, and an interception return for a touchdown. There has been a lot of NFL buzz surrounding the Rutgers team captain whose teammates regard as a warrior and someone who always goes full blow on Saturday despite injuries.

During Rutgers University recent pro day event, there was an interesting twist to his workout. Not only did he participate in the linebacker drills, but several teams asked him to work out as a fullback. He flourished in both positions and there is no doubt that the New Jersey native who will make a great addition to an NFL team in 2010 upcoming season.
