Description
Rusber Estrada currently plays as a catcher for the Acereros del Norte in the Mexican Baseball League. He joined the team on June 5, 2026, following a trade from the Dorados de Chihuahua in exchange for catcher Geraldi Díaz and right-handed pitcher Édgar Navarro. During the winter off-season, Estrada traditionally plays winter ball in Latin America and is assigned to the Navegantes del Magallanes in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP)
Estrada was drafted in the 24th round (712th overall) by the Atlanta Braves in 2018 and signed for $100,000. He played college baseball for the Faulkner University Eagles. Prior to that he starred at Southwest Tennessee Community College where in 56 Games played he hit .335 with 10 HR’s and 46 RBI’s. He also scored 34 Runs.
Rusber Estrada played for the Spain national baseball team during the World Baseball Classic (WBC) Qualifiers in February 2025. He was officially activated by Team Spain on February 3, 2025, and served as the team’s primary designated hitter (DH) during the qualifying tournament pool held in Taipei. Estrada put on a standout offensive performance during the event.
On February 21st, 2025, Estrada recorded two hits and three RBIs in an opening 12-5 upset win against Chinese Taipei. On February 22nd, 2025, Estrada hit a two-run home run against South Africa to help secure another victory. On February 25th, In the pool finale rematch against Chinese Taipei, Estrada went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBIs. Additionally, Estrada was named to Spain’s national roster for the WBSC Premier12 Qualifier tournament scheduled for October 2026.
The featured official Team Espana WBC Flexfit Hat was issued to and worn in practice by Rusber Estrada during the 2025 World Baseball Classic (WBC) Qualifiers. Estrada was one of the offensive stars for Spain. Estrada signed the Hat and added “Go Spain” in black. The Hat measures L-XL and shows good wear. The Hat was obtained directly from Rusber Estrada!!!!
