Curtis Taylor

Curtis Taylor is a safety who is a member of the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. The San Francisco 49ers drafted him in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Taylor finished his collegiate career with 112 tackles, two sacks and five interceptions. In 2008, his senior season he played in 13 games with nine starts and recorded 43 tackles, one sack for an 11-yard loss and added two interceptions and one fumble recovery. He recorded his best game of the season in the LSU road win over South Carolina with seven tackles, one sack for an 11-yard loss and an interception. He also had a great game against Ole Miss with six tackles and a fumble recovery and added six tackles in SEC win over Mississippi State. In 2007, Taylor helped LSU to a national championship by registering 54 tackles, 1 sack, 6 PDs and 3 INTs. As a backup in 2006, he tallied 12 tackles and a PD after playing in 11 games with 3 tackles and a PD as a redshirt freshman.

Taylor made his NFL debut on October 11th, 2009 against the Atlanta Falcons and recorded two special teams tackles. Two weeks later against the Texans, he tied for the team lead with three special teams tackles. He recorded his 1st career tackle on defense against the Green Bay Packers on 11/22/09. With impressive size for a safety, Taylor adds depth and explosiveness at both safety positions for the Cardinals, while serving as a huge contributor on special teams.
