Riley Cooper

Riley Cooper is a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Eagles in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football and college baseball for the Florida Gators.

Cooper had a good college career with the Gators appearing in every game for the Gators in his junior season, starting all but two (against Hawaii and Florida State). He hauled in a key touchdown, along with a season-high 51-yard reception, that put Florida in scoring position during the SEC Championship Game against Alabama. He totaled 28 yards on two receptions in the BCS National Championship Game, including a crucial 17-yard catch on 3rd-and-12. Cooper amassed 261 total yards on 18 receptions, three of which were touchdowns.

In 2009, Cooper totaled 961 yards on 51 receptions, with nine touchdowns and an average of 18.8 yards per catch. He ranked first among Gators in receiving yards (961) and second in receptions (51) and had a team-leading nine touchdowns in 2009. His 18.8 yards per reception average ranked second in the SEC and he finished sixth in the conference in receiving yards per game (68.6). Cooper notched the fourth 100+ receiving yard performance of his career against Cincinnati in the Sugar Bowl, tallying career bests with 181 yards and seven catches, including a career-long 80 yard TD reception. His performance against the Bearcats was the second-best receiving yardage effort in a Sugar Bowl game, becoming the first person to surpass 150+ receiving yards since LSU’s Josh Reed (239) and Illinois’ Walter Young (178) in the 2002 Sugar Bowl.
