Robert “Bob” Griese is a legendary Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback who masterminded the Miami Dolphins offense to three consecutive Super Bowl appearances and two Super Bowl victories (VII and VIII). Known as the “Thinking Man’s Quarterback,” Griese carved out an illustrious career characterized by precision, leadership, and football intelligence.

Griese played 14 seasons (1967–1980), all with the Miami Dolphins. He passed for 25,092 yards and 192 touchdowns, earning 8 Pro Bowl/AFL All-Star selections and 6 team MVP honors. Griese was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990. The Dolphins retired his number 12 jersey on May 6th, 1982, during the team’s annual awards banquet. It was the very first jersey number ever retired by the franchise.

After his playing days, Griese transitioned to a highly successful broadcasting career. He served as a prominent college and NFL analyst for NBC Sports, ESPN, and ABC Sports for decades.
