Nik Embernate is free agent offensive guard, most recently playing with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played his college football with the San Diego State Aztecs.
The solid 6-4, 300 pound prospect is a gamer, who was one of the more consistent offensive linemen in the Mountain West Conference. In all, he has 35 starts to his credit in a run heavy offense. Embernate has a lot of upside, and has a build that should allow him to add some bulk without losing any of his athleticism. A mauler, he has the ability to play in both man and zone blocking schemes and is comfortable as a pulling guard. He also flashes a nasty streak, and wants to finish every block once engaged. In Steelers training camp the guy referred to as “Embernasty” by his teammates became a huge fan favorite!

The BYU Cougars took advantage of two defensive touchdowns and 20 fourth-quarter points to defeat the San Diego State Aztecs 23-6 in the eighth annual San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. In one of the most impressive defensive performances in bowl history, BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy was in the middle of everything as he recorded 8 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery for a touchdown, a 17-yard interception and return for a touchdown, and a blocked punt.
Embernasty has signed both cleats and added “Worn Vs BYU Poinsettia Bowl 2012″ in silver to the left one. He has added his Steelers #51 to one of his signatures. The back of each heel features #68. The cleats show good use and were obtained directly from Embernate!
