Tony Logan is a free agent wide receiver, most recently playing for the New England Patriots. The Piscataway, N.J., native played his college ball at Maryland where he was a dynamic special-teams presence, making the Terps a threat to score on every punt return. Logan has also been a member of the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.

Logan was a highly-touted quarterback at Piscataway High School in New Jersey who also also played wide receiver. Logan was named a SuperPrep All-American and also an All-America selection by Tom Lemming. The talented athlete also played in the East-West All-American game. Logan threw for 1,500 yards with 10 touchdowns, while rushing for 500 yards with five touchdowns despite playing in five games as a senior.

Logan was an incredible athletic talent who served as a reserve wide receiver and the primary punt returner his last three seasons for the Maryland Terrapins. The All-League pick in 2010 led the ACC and ranked third nationally with an average of 18.1 yards per punt return in 2010, a mark that also ranks third on the ACC all-time single-season list. Logan’s 560 punt return yards in 2010 was the second-highest yardage total in both school and ACC history, trailing only Steve Suter who had 771 yards in 2002. Logan also owns two of the top three longest punt returns in school history, trailing only a 90-yard TD by Dick Nolan in 1953. The dynamic punt returner’s career punt return average (11.84) ranked fifth in the FBS among active players at the end of 2011 and that mark is seventh on the Maryland career list. Logan also ranks third in school history and 16th in the ACC books in career punt return yards (805).

In 2011, Logan played in 11 games as a punt returner, kick returner and wideout and was a consensus preseason All-ACC selection at punt returner. For his efforts he was named first-team all-league choice by Athlon, Blue Ribbon and Phil Steele and was a preseason second team All-America selection by Phil Steele. On October 8th against Georgie Tech, Logan contributed to the Maryland offense completing a 34-yard pass to Kevin Dorsey on a trick play.

The featured black and yellow xl under armour shorts were worn by Logan for Maryland Terrapins Pro Day. The shorts have been signed and Logan has added “Pro Day” in silver. Not invited to the Combine, the 5′ 10″, 193 pound Logan ran a 4.51 40 yard dash at his pro day, despite being slowed by a hamstring injury. It’s just a matter of time until Logan finds a home on an nfl roster.
