Travis Ivey

Travis Ivey is a nose tackle who is currently a free agent, most recently a member of the Oakland Raiders. He was signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He also played for the Cleveland Browns. He played college football at Maryland. Ivey is a powerful interior presence who emerged as the starting defensive tackle near the end of his junior season. He is 6 foot 4, 325 pounds and displays excellent athleticism. He played in 32 career games with 16 starts for the Terrapins. In his senior year, Ivey started all 12 games at defensive tackle and was an All-ACC nominee. He had a season-high four tackles, including 0.5 TFL against MTSU on September 19th and recovered a fumble. Ivey added three tackles, including his first sack of the season, against Rutgers the following week. He also contributed big against Virginia on October 17th with four stops and a recovered fumble.

The Brown’s nose tackle has exceptional lower-body strength to anchor and drive. Despite his mammoth size, he is a very athletic player with good explosiveness which allows him to be disruptive in the backfield. His height and long arms also allow him to bat down passes and wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks.
