Description

Bill Nagy is a free agent center and guard, most recently playing for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at Wisconsin.

Nagy attended Hudson High School, where he was a three-time all-conference selection at guard in football. He also earned two letters in baseball and one in basketball. Nagy was ranked among top 45 guards in nation and among top 45 players in Ohio by Rivals.com. The two-time all-state selection was also a PrepStar all-region choice and rated among top 40 players in the Midwest by SuperPrep. Nagy was among top 55 offensive linemen nationally according to Scout.com.

Nagy was a three-year letterman at Wisconsin, earning Honorable Mention All-Big Ten as a senior in 2010. Primarily a guard during his career, he also played a vital role at center and even contributed at tight end for the Badgers’ 2010 Big Ten champion squad. His versatile contributions earned him Wisconsin’s Wayne Souza Coaches Appreciation Award.

Nagy was selected in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, making four starts as a rookie offensive guard before injuries sidelined him. He later signed with the Detroit Lions. Nagy, who earned Academic All-Big Ten accolades as a collegian, received his bachelor’s degree in agricultural business management from Wisconsin.

At Wisconsin NFL Pro Day, Nagy shined. He hit 26 reps on the bench press and opened scout’s eyes. The skill players showed off their leaping ability during the vertical jump, but it was Nagy who stole the show by displaying an impressive burst and turning heads with his leap. Nagy is a hard-working team player who has the typical Wisconsin toughness. He has great athleticism, football smarts and doesn’t make many mental mistakes.

The featured black and white Adidas scorch thrill cleats were game worn by Bill Nagy on January 1st, 2011 when the Wisconsin Badgers faced the TCU Horned Frogs in the Pasadena Rose Bowl. TCU star quarterback Andy Dalton threw a touchdown pass and ran for a score, Defensive MVP Tank Carder batted down a 2-point conversion pass attempt with 2 minutes to play and Bart Johnson caught an early TD pass and recovered a late onside kick for the Mountain West champion Horned Frogs (13-0), who followed up their second straight unbeaten regular season with their first BCS victory. Third-ranked TCU hung on despite a late surge by Nagy and the Badgers offense to beat No. 4 Wisconsin 21-19. Nagy played a solid game in the loss.

The cleats show good use and Nagy’s #76 is written on back heel in silver. Nagy has signed both cleats and added “2011 Rose Bowl vs. TCU” to the right one. Awesome pair of cleats worn by the former Badgers star lineman!!!
