CJ Fiedorowicz is a tight end for the Houston Texans. He was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
A native of Johnsburg, Illinois, Fiedorowicz attended local Johnsburg High School where he earned first team all-conference honors for three straight seasons and was league Player of the Year as a senior. For his career, he totaled 183 receptions for 3,121 yards and 42 touchdowns, all school records. He was selected to play in the 2010 U. S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas. Considered an four-star recruit by Rivals.com, he was rated as the fifth best tight end prospect in his class.
CJ Fiedorowicz attended the University of Iowa from 2010 to 2013. He was a starter since his junior season and was named second team all-Big Ten by league media and first team All-Big Ten by Athlon Sports. He was also named second team All-Big Ten by Phil Steele and College Sports Madness .
The former Hawkeye was named a first-team All-Big Ten selection as a senior. Fiedorowicz had at least one reception in 31 straight games and his season totals included 26 catches for 253 yards and six touchdowns. Fiedorowicz finished his Iowa career with 84 receptions for 830 yards and nine touchdowns. The tight end also competed in the 2014 Senior Bowl and was named Most Outstanding Tight End/Wide Receiver at the event.
The 2016 season proved to be a breakout one for Fiedorowicz in his 3rd year in the NFL. The Texans tight end started 15 games and notched 54 receptions for 559 yards and 4 touchdowns. He became one of the Houston Texans biggest offensive threats.
