Description

Garrett McIntyre is a former NFL linebacker, most recently playing for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks in 2006. He played college football at Fresno State. McIntyre has also been a member of the Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, San Jose SaberCats, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

McIntyre was a walk-on at Fresno State who came out of nowhere to become one of the WAC’s top defensive players and perhaps the most pleasant surprise of the Pat Hill Era. The Bulldogs defensive star was named one of college football’s top 100 players by ESPN.com. McIntyre was also described by Hill as a player who “has a motor that doesn’t stop.” He was named a first-team All-WAC selection in 2004 after recording 46 tackles and seven sacks. McIntyre was also the defensive MVP during Fresno State’s victory over UCLA in the 2003 Silicon Valley Classic. As a senior in 2005, he recorded 29 tackles, seven sacks, a forced fumble and a blocked kick, earning recognition as the WAC Defensive Player of the Year. McIntyre finished his career at Fresno State as the third-best all-time pass rusher, finishing with 25 career quarterback sacks.

McIntyre was signed by the New York Jets to a future contract on January 26, 2011 and made his NFL debut on special teams for the Jets, in their season opener against the Dallas Cowboys at home. In the fourth quarter, he can be seen blocking 2 Dallas lineman at once, opening a path for running back Joe McKnight to block a punt, which was returned for a touchdown. This event shifted the momentum in the Jets’ favor, and led them to a comeback victory. McIntyre started the first game of his career against the Denver Broncos on November 17, 2011. McIntyre had a career best 4 tackles and a forced fumble Week 13 against the Washington Redskins. He followed up that great effort with 3 tackles and another forced fumble against the Kansas City Chiefs in a 37-10 win.

The featured pink and white breast cancer awareness nike gloves were game worn by Garrett McIntyre during the 2013 NFL season as a member of the New York Jets. Nike created these awesome gloves for Breast Cancer Awareness month. McIntyre has signed both gloves and added “Game Worn, Find a Cure” to the left one. As could be viewed from the images, the signatures have smudged and are faint. The gloves show great use!!
