Description
Jon Akemon is a free agent long snapper, most recently playing for the Tennessee Titans. Akemon played his college football at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana under Coach Jeff Judge. Akemon participated in his NFL Pro Day on March 25th, 2011 in Ball State Muncie, Indiana. Akemon has also been a member of the Brooklyn Bolts and Hudson Valley Fort of the Fall Experimental Football League. (FXFL)
The versatile Akemon played football at Charlestown High School in Indiana and was a 4-Year Varsity Lettermen playing offensive and defensive line and long snapper. He played in 40 games in his high school career and was nominated for All Conference (State Class 3-A MSC Conference).
At Anderson University, Akemon played defensive line and long snapper. He helped anchor a Ravens punt team that ranked 23rd in the nation with no blocked punts. His effort led the punter to setting 2 school records and the punt team being first in the conference for 9 weeks straight. They also were the 3rd best punt team in school history. Akemon played in 28 of 40 games and in his senior year placed 8 tackles as a long snapper on punt. Akemon also played in the NCAA D3 senior classic as a long snapper and was a 4-year Lettermen. Akemon was long snapper for the Brooklyn Bolts 2014 inaugural season from September 2014 – December 2014. The team went 4-0 in the span and Akemon was First Team ALL FXFL as a Long Snapper. The team played their home games at MCU Park in Brooklyn, NY. In the 2015 season, Akemon was long snapper for the Hudson Valley Fort. (FXFL) They played their home games at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, New York. In 2014, Danser participated in Tennessee Titans rookie camp as a long snapper.
The featured Tennessee Titans long sleeve nike xl shirt was worn by Akemon when he participated in Tennessee Titans 2014 Rookie Camp. The former Raven has signed the front of the shirt and added “Training Camp” in black in the collar.
