Description
Kevin Danser is a free agent offensive guard, most recently playing for the Tennessee Titans. Danser was an integral part of the Stanford Cardinal offensive line.
Danser had twenty-eight straight starts on two Rose Bowl-winning teams and a pair of All-Pac-12 recognitions (second team in 2012, honorable mention in 2013). Danser helped pave the way for two 1,000-yard rushers, all the while adding a youthful spirit to one of the best offensive lines in college football. The biomechanical engineering major has also been named to the Pac-12 All-Academic second-team twice. Out of Stanford’s beloved power running formation, Danser pulled — and made a crucial block —on Stepfan Taylor’s game-sealing run in the 2013 Rose Bowl.
With several of his peers receiving all of the headlines, Danser was one of the more unsung heroes of the Stanford Cardinal offensive line. One CBSSports.com analyst even called him “one of the most underrated players in the country” in October. The lineman plays with a wide base and has smooth lateral movements to slide and pick up blocks on the move and at the second level. Danser has NFL size (6-6, 300) with a thick trunk and a stout anchor to stonewall rushers and use his length effectively in space. He flashes a killer instinct and enjoys mauling defenders in the run game with his physical, competitive nature.
Danser is best as a run blocker. He comes off the ball quickly and shows some snap and power on contact. He keeps his feet running, and he works to get movement. He can stay low out of his stance and does a good job with leverage.
