Logan O’Hoppe is an American professional baseball catcher and designated hitter currently playing for the Texas Rangers organization. Known for his exceptional work ethic, defensive instincts, and raw power from the right side of the plate, O’Hoppe rapidly rose through the minor league ranks to establish himself as one of the premier young backstops in Major League Baseball (MLB)
By 2023, O’Hoppe became the youngest Opening Day starting catcher in Angels franchise history. Despite a shoulder injury that sidelined him for part of his rookie year, he bounced back to hit 14 home runs in just 51 games. He solidified his status as a foundational player during the 2024 season, where he slugged a career-high 20 home runs and logged 56 RBIs while serving as one of the most durable catchers in the American League.
In late July 2026, the Los Angeles Angels traded O’Hoppe to the defending Lone Star state rivals, the Texas Rangers. He made his Rangers debut on August 23, 2026, hitting a single on his very first pitch against his former team. He split time between the Major League roster and Triple-A Round Rock as part of the 40-man roster to conclude the 2026 regular season.

O’Hoppe played in 75 games with the Angels before being traded to the Texas Rangers on July 29th, 2026. The talented catcher signed the gloves and added “2026 Game Worn” in black.
