Description

Orleans Darkwa is a running back for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He was signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Darkwa played college football at Tulane from 2010 to 2013.

During his college career Darkwa rushed for 2,953 yards on 663 carries and 39 touchdowns. The 39 rushing touchdowns are a Tulane record. He also caught 77 passes for 595 yards. He also holds the school’s freshman rushing record with 925 yards in 2010.

Darkwa was signed by the Miami Dolphins after going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft. After appearing in only four games, he was released by the Dolphins on October 6, 2014, but re-signed to the practice squad soon after.

On November 12, 2014, Darkwa was signed by the New York Giants after Michael Cox was placed on injured reserve. He scored his second career touchdown on December 21, 2014 against the St. Louis Rams.

In his rookie season Darkwa split time between the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins playing in 11 games. On December 21st, 2014 Darkwa forced a fumble on his childhood friend Benny Cunningham’s kickoff return that was recovered by teammate Larry Donnell. Against the Rams that day, he also had four carries for 21 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown, and caught two passes for 17 yards.

Darkwa was one of the few rays of production for the Giants’ offense in the 2015 preseason opener against the Bengals. He ran for 52 yards on nine carries, accounting for nearly half of the 106 rushing yards the team had on just about one-third of their 24 carries. He had a 20-yard run and a 1-yard touchdown dive and, perhaps more importantly, looked assured picking up blitzes. In week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys, Darkwa had 8 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown for the Giants.

On October 3rd 2016, Darkwa made his first career start against the Minnesota Vikings, rushing 12 times for 48 yards and a touchdown. He was placed on injured reserve on November 29, 2016 with a lower leg injury.

On October 15th, 2017 against the Denver Broncos, Orleans Darkwa was the offensive star of the game rushing for 117 yards in a Giants 23-10 win. He followed up that effort with a career high 154 yards in an 18-10 victory over the Redskins in Week 17. He finished the 2017 NFL season with 171 rushing attempts, 751 yards, and 5 TDs.

The featured gray evoshield xl shirt was game worn by Orleans Darkwa under his New York Giants jersey during the 2017 NFL Season. The talented running back has signed the shirt and added “Game Worn” in black. The sleeves were cut off for comfort. Unique item for a Giants fan from the team’s leading rusher!!!
