Ryan Mountcastle is a power-hitting professional baseball first baseman and designated hitter for the Baltimore Orioles. Drafted by Baltimore in the first round of the 2015 MLB Draft, he quickly rose through the minors to become an international League MVP and a cornerstone of the Orioles’ explosive, young core.
Mountcastle exploded onto the scene in his first full major league season (2021), blasting a career-high 33 home runs and driving in 89 RBIs. The slugger tied an Orioles franchise single-game record on April 11, 2023, by driving in an incredible 9 RBIs against the Oakland Athletics. Hit also added a monstrous 472-foot home run at Camden Yards in 2023, the longest tracked home run by an Oriole in the Statcast era.
