Indigo Diaz is a free agent pitcher most recently playing in the Arizona Diamondbacks Organization and played on Team Canada in the 2023 & 2026 World Baseball Classic. A native of North Vancouver, B.C., Canada, Diaz was originally selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 27th round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft. Diaz played college baseball at Michigan State University.
Diaz made his 1st appearance for Team Canada in the World Baseball Classic on March 13th, 2023. He was dominant pitching 1.2 shutout innings against Team USA with a pair of powerhouse Ks.
The featured grey and white New Balance FuelCell Baseball Cleats were game worn by Indigo Diaz in 2026 as a member of the Amarillo Sod Poodles. The Amarillo Sod Poodles, nicknamed the Soddies, are a Minor League Baseball team of the Texas League and the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. They are located in Amarillo, Texas, and play their home games at Hodgetown in downtown Amarillo. Diaz pitched in 23 games for the Soddies and had 4 wins and 1 save. The flamethrower signed the cleats and added “2026 Game Worn” to each cleat in black. There is a molded toe guard on the right cleat. The cleats were obtained directly from Indigo Diaz!
