Brionna Jones is an American professional basketball forward for the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream. Drafted 8th overall in 2017 out of the University of Maryland, she has established herself as a 3-time WNBA All-Star, a WNBA Most Improved Player, and Sixth Player of the Year. Originally from Havre de Grace, Maryland, Jones brings a relentless work ethic and veteran leadership to the Atlanta Dream.
Jones’ best WNBA year is widely considered to be 2021 when she won both the Most Improved Player Award and was named to the WNBA All-Defensive Second Team after posting career-highs in both scoring and rebounding.
Her standout 2021 campaign included earning her first of four career All-Star selections. During that dominant season, she averaged 14.7 points and 5.6 rebounds. She followed up this historic year with another dominant season in 2022. As a star reserve for the Connecticut Sun, she averaged 13.8 points and 5.1 rebounds to secure the WNBA Sixth Player of the Year award.
