Cesar Rodriguez is a catcher in the Atlanta Braves Organization. The Atlanta Braves signed Rodriguez to a minor league contract on June 4th, 2021. Rodriguez was initially signed as an international free agent by the Philadelphia Phillies on July 2nd, 2017.
Formerly a member of the Philadelphia Phillies organization, Rodriguez played 67 games with the Dominican Summer League Phillies in 2018 before playing 30 games with the GCL Phillies East in 2019. In 2021, Rodriguez split time between the FCL Braves and the Rome Braves. The Florida Complex League (FCL) Braves are the Rookie-level affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, competing in the Florida Complex League of Minor League Baseball. Prior to 2021, the team was known as the Gulf Coast League Braves. He played in 11 games and collected 7 Hits in 28 At-Bats. He also scored a staggering 7 Runs and connected on a home run and 3 RBI’s and had a stellar .751 OPS. The future is bright for the Braves catcher!
The featured black and silver EvoShield Gloves were game worn by Cesar Rodriguez in 2022 as a member of the FCL Braves. The Florida Complex League Braves are the Rookie-level affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, competing in the Florida Complex League of Minor League Baseball. Prior to 2021, the team was known as the Gulf Coast League Braves. Rodriguez played in 21 games with the Braves this season and hit .250. Rodriguez has signed the Gloves and added “2022 Game Worn” to the left one in red. As could be viewed from the images, the signature on the right glove is not very visible. The Gloves show great use!
