David McCabe is a first baseman/ third baseman in the Atlanta Braves organization. He was drafted in the 4th Round of the 2022 MLB Draft by the Braves. He is currently the Atlanta Braves 14th Ranked Prospect. He played college baseball at UNC Charlotte.

The Rome Braves are a Minor League Baseball team of the South Atlantic League and the High-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. They are located in Rome, Georgia, and play their home games at AdventHealth Stadium. In 2023, McCabe played in 81 games with Rome and hit .281 with 9 HRs and 50 RBIs for an .816 OPS. He also showed tremendous plate discipline with 53 walks and 9 stolen bases.
The Salt River Rafters are a baseball team that plays in the East Division of the Arizona Fall League. They play their home games at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community near Scottsdale, Arizona. The Braves sent seven prospects to the Arizona Fall League including McCabe, Dylan Dodd, infielder Keshawn Ogans, catcher Tyler Tolve, and pitchers Patrick Halligan, Jake McSteen, and Brooks Wilson. McCabe had a stellar AFL experience collecting 20 hits in 72 At-Bats for a .278 Batting Average. He also walked 23 times in 21 games for a .448 OBP and .809 OPS.
