Kerry Wynn is a former NFL defensive end most recently playing for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He played college football at the University of Richmond. He was signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Wynn attended Louisa County High in Mineral, Virginia.

In 2009 at Richmond, Wynn was redshirted. In 2010 due to an injury he only played three games and opened the season with his first career start at defensive end and recorded three tackles, a sack and a tackle for loss at Virginia. Wynn came back the next two years starting nearly every game in 2011 and leading the team again with 4 sacks and 7 tackles for a loss, and starting every game in 2012 leading the team with 4.5 sacks and 8 tackles for a loss.

In 2013, Wynn became a third-team All-CAA selection after he started 10 games and finished the season with 56 tackles, 5.5 for a loss, 2.5 sacks, three breakups and five quarterback hurries. The talented defensive end also totaled eight tackles, a tackle for a loss and a pass breakup at Rhode Island. Wynn recorded a career-high 11 tackles against North Carolina State University and picked up six tackles, a half a sack and a hurry in the win over William & Mary on Senior Day. Wynn recorded four tackles and his first sack of the season in the win at Stony Brook. For his efforts, Wynn was named Second-Team All-CAA by College Sports Madness and Phil Steele.

Wynn participated in the 89th annual East-West Shrine Bowl, a postseason all-star game for college seniors across the country, on Jan. 18 2014, showcasing the physical gifts that had pro scouts buzzing. Wynn, who unofficially recorded four tackles in the game, was able to compete against players from schools such as Stanford and Notre Dame en route to his East team’s 23-13 victory.

In his rookie season with the Giants, the 6-foot-5, 264-pound undrafted rookie had a sack, a fumble recovery, and an interception in a win against the St Louis Rams. Wynn completed his rookie season with 16 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks, an interception and fumble recovery in only 5 games.

In week 3 of the 2015 season against the Washington Redskins, Wynn stepped into the starting lineup and had a huge game for the Giants defense. He was a force against the run. Using his power, Wynn finished with eight tackles. He also added a quarterback hit and had several pressures.

In 2018, the most underrated star of the defensive line though was Wynn, who per Pro Football Focus, finished with a team-best 12.1 percent run-stop percentage. Wynn demonstrated that he became a complete defensive lineman, recording a career-high 21 total pressures and matching his career-high in run stops (20) set in 2015. His other stats included three tackles for a loss, two quarterback hits, two passes defensed and two forced fumbles. Wynn also finished fourth on special teams with eight total tackles (four solo).

The East-West Shrine Game is the oldest and one of the most respected of the post-season collegiate bowl games. Since 1925, the game has been known for the quality of the players and coaches, as well as for the excitement of great college football action. But that’s not what makes the game “Football’s Finest Hour.” What makes the East-West Game so special is its true purpose — helping to support Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Every year since 1925, the East-West Game has been played to raise funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children and to raise awareness about the expert orthopaedic, burn, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and cleft lip and palate care, available at no charge to patients and families, through the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children. The players themselves regard the game in a special light, as they learn the true purpose of the game during a pre-game visit to the Shriners Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

The featured East-West Shrine Game Nike Polo 2XL Shirt was issued to Kerry Wynn for the week of the big event. The Game was played on January 18th, 2014 and the East went on to win the 89th edition of the collegiate all-star game, 23-13. Coastal Carolina’s Matt Hazel scored on a 1-yard reception from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who completed nine of 14 passes for 100 yards and no interceptions to earn offensive MVP honors for the East. Nevin Lawson returned a fourth-quarter fumble 5 yards for another TD to help seal the win. The shirt was worn by Wynn during the week and and it is still in brand new condition. The talented defensive end has signed the shirt and added his number “72” in black. Unique item directly from the New York Giants fan favorite!!
