Description

Paul Magloire is a linebacker with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. He was signed shortly after the 2017 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent. Magloire played college football for the University of Arizona.

In high school at the Long Island Class III Championship in 2010, Magloire, playing quarterback, had the game of his life rushing for three touchdowns and a pair of 2-point conversions against Sayville. But one play outdid everything: In one of the conversion attempts, Magloire leaped over two defenders on the 5-yard line and into the end zone to put the Owls in the lead for good — a display of athleticism that his high school coach, Stephen LoCicero, has never forgotten. This dynamic play showed the type of grit, determination and smarts that has led him to a shot at an NFL career with the Bucs.

After high school graduation, Magloire bounced around colleges as he looked for the right fit. He was quarterback at Milford Academy before switching to safety. He played at Appalachian State in 2012 and 2013. Then he transferred to Arizona Western in Yuma, Ariz., for a season, in hopes of gaining more exposure.

In 2015, Magloire attended the University of Arizona, where he flourished. In two seasons with the Wildcats, he had 153 tackles and 2½ sacks, mostly as a linebacker. But he went from someone off most people’s radars to the talk of the town in St. Petersburg, Fla., with an excellent week at the East-West Shrine Game in January. He was so successful that many experts believed he would be selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, which took place April 27-29. Though he wasn’t chosen, Tampa Bay signed him almost immediately after the draft concluded.

Despite being undersized at 6-1, 227, he’s an excellent athlete and takes good angles to the ball and plays well in space. His best fit in the NFL would be as a safety/linebacker hybrid, similar to what the Arizona Cardinals do with the 6-1, 211-pound Deone Bucannon. At Arizona’s NFL Pro day, Magloire posted a 4.68-second 40-yard dash and an impressive 25 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.

The featured size 12 white and blue nike alpha pro cleats were game worn by Paul Magloire as a member of the Arizona Wildcats. The talented linebacker has signed the cleats and added “game worn” to each cleat in black. There is a “9-D” along each cleat in blue. Paul said this # was written by the equipment staff and assumed the cleats were initially going to be issued to a teammate with that # but he received them instead. The cleats show good use!!!
