Description

Paul Carrezola is an NFL free agent fullback and tight end. Carrezola played tight end and fullback for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Prior to Rutgers, Carrezola was a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter at tight end and defensive end for head coach Mark Schmidt at Neshaminy High School. The team went 24-3 with Carrezola in the starting lineup as a junior and senior.

A Philadelphia Inquirer All-Southeastern Pennsylvania team selection and Trentonian Lower Bucks Player of the Year in 2008, Carrezola was a Harrisburg Patriot-News Platinum 33 football selection, honoring the top 33 high school players in Pennsylvania. Carrezola was tabbed a PSFCA East-West All-Star game selection and was on a lot of scouts’ radar, ranked the No. 21 tight end prospect in the country and the No. 15 prospect overall in Pennsylvania, according to Rivals.com.

Committing to Rutgers as a high school senior, Carrezola came into the college game a highly-touted player. At 6-2, 240 pounds, the Knights expected a physical presence on the line which they definitely got over his career at Rutgers.

In 2012 after battling an injury, the tight end’s first appearance of the season was a mid-September 23-13 victory at South Florida and then he grabbed his first catch and touchdown of the season on a two-yard throw from quarterback Gary Nova in a 35-26 win at Arkansas.

Paul Carrezola is a legitimate fullback prospect, because while he won’t carry the ball often, for teams at the NFL level just looking for a true blocking fullback he is one of the better players at the position in the country. Versatility could be his ticket to an NFL roster.

The featured nike gloves were game worn by Carrezola on December 28th, 2013 when the Rutgers Scarlet Knights faced the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium. Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees threw for 319 yards and no interceptions in his final college game, leading No. 25 Notre Dame to a 29-16 victory against Rutgers. Notre Dame’s TJ Jones scored on an 8-yard run in the first quarter and Rutgers star Brandon Coleman answered with a 14-yard touchdown catch soon after. Tarean Folston’s 3-yard touchdown run with 3:38 in the fourth made it 26-16 and finally gave the Irish a comfortable lead. On the slick turf at Yankee Stadium, the Pinstripe Bowl turned into a field-goal kicking contest. Brindza was 5 for 6 for the Irish while Kyle Federico made 3 of 3 for the Scarlet Knights. Carrezola has signed both gloves in silver and added “RU vs ND, Game Worn” to the right glove. As could be viewed from the images, the signatures have slightly smudged. Carrezola’s #89 is written in black on the inside of each glove. The gloves show great use!!!
